Early in 2012 the Club offered each junior school in the town a cheque for £250 provided they could make special use of it. The cash, mostly raised through Santa's Sleigh last Christmas, was used to buy a whole range of much-needed extras.

William Levick put it towards a climbing wall; Unstone Junior School renovated a pond; Lenthal Infants' School are providing an outdoor learning area. Unstone St Mary's Infants School decided to take the kids to Chesterfield to watch the Olympic torch go by.
