14 mile Rotary Walk reopens
The Relaunch of the route for the Dronfield Barn Rotary Walk took place on Saturday 12th May. Coal Aston Community Centre was the start point and the new Walk Brochure was available. The walk was re-opened by MP Lee Rowley. - read more

Shark study field trip.
The club have agreed a donation of £200 towards the cost of a field study trip by a Dronfield Henry Fanshawe student, Katie Gill, for a shark study course. Katie will talk to the club about her trip on her return. - read more

Visit to Nepal
Six members of Dronfield Rotary Club have recently returned from a fact finding visit to Nepal. The trip enabled them to see the work of the Fishtail Fund in the city of Pokhara. On one fabulous and unbelievable day the Dronfield team visited Prithvi Rupa School which we intend to rebuild on a safe site after the earthquake damaged the current school buildings. - read more

Monster cheque boosts £40,000 school rebuilding effort
In a short ceremony on November 3rd, the club hailed a milestone in our efforts to rebuild an earthquake-damaged school in distant Nepal when the Rotary Benevolent Trust matched our fundraising with a cheque for £20,000. - read more

An excellent guest speaker
Todays guest speaker Michael Lewis told the compelling story of his mother Helen Lewis a holocaust survivour. Her book A Time To Speak, about her experiences before and during World War 2, was published in 1992. - read more

Sad news for the club
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that club member Chris Burke died on 29th August 2016 whilst walking and leading a group in the mountains of Austria which he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by the many thousands of people whoes lives he has enriched. - read more
