Donation to Edale Mountain Rescue Team        back
The Rotary Club of Dronfield was delighted to present Edale Mountain Rescue Team with a cheque for £500 to go towards the running costs of this vitally important organisation. Following a lunchtime talk from Tony Hood, an EMRT member and a chance to see the emergency landrover, members of the Rotary Club of Dronfield readily agreed that the rescue team deserved our support.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team relies entirely on voluntary contributions and is called out regularly to cover incidents throughout our area and already this year has been called out well over 60 times.
Rotary Club of Dronfield President Chris Burke and Vice Presidents Eric Beach and Andy Ledbetter were invited over to the EMRT HQ at Lafarge's Hope Valley Cement Works to tour the base and present the cheque to Rob Small, Chairman of EMRT.

As the visit came to an end an emergency call came in and the 2 EMRT landrovers raced off to an incident on Stanage Edge.
